In this episode, Association Chat host KiKi L’Italien interviews Rachel Sheerin, an international keynote speaker and trainer who is dedicated to helping us all grow, sell and thrive.

At a time when our world needs new solutions for new problems in every industry, collaborating and working together is more important than ever.

And associations have been doing this by providing the communities and relationships that have led the way on these innovations for years. But with more competition for our time and attention than ever before, it takes a more thoughtful approach to sell people on the idea of the work that goes into a community and the value that goes in and out of it.

This week we’re taking a look at community and how to best position it as a benefit an opportunity so that members and prospective members see the value in their engagement – whether it be as a volunteer, Board member, chapter member, or something else entirely!

Recently named Speaker of the Year by NACE and featured in Inc Magazine, Rachel's high-energy keynotes and programs have served conference and annual meeting audiences from Spain to Seattle, and will soon be seen on the TEDx stage!

Rachel's keynotes and training have been raved about by a lot of awesome associations like MPI, ESPA, WRPA and more, and her corporate clients – folks like The Ritz Carlton, Hilton, Berkshire Hathaway and more.

Rachel loves associations - she currently serves as International Director of Education for WIPA, is a long time NACE member and likes her margaritas on the rocks.
